36 weeks
Only 4 weeks to go! I had another dr. appointment today. He said everything looked fine. I actually lost weight since my last visit. I can't really explain how that happened, but I'm happy about it. He also did the group B strep test. Group B strep is basically a bacteria some women carry that can't do the mom any harm, but could cause an infection in the baby if you have the bacteria when you deliver. If you do have it they just give you an antibiotic during labor. So, it's no big deal, but I still hope I don't have it. One less thing to worry about! He also checked and I'm not dilated at all yet. Which is normal at 36 weeks. I'm hoping I won't make it to my due date simple because I feel crappy and am ready for it to be over, but I have no control over the situation, so we'll just play the wait and see game! I go back to the dr. in 1 week, so we'll update everyone then.

35 weeks
Only 35 days to go! It's kind of weird how at 35 weeks I only have 35 days left. Anyhow, nothing new to report really. I don't go to the dr. again until next week. I still have lower back pain and irregular contractions all the time. So pretty much I feel ginormous, and am focusing intently on that light at the end of the tunnel! I will have to have Sean take a picture of how huge I am so all of you that don't get the pleasure of seeing me in person can still make jokes at my expense! It's ok with me though, I know I'm huge. I know because random people are starting to ask when I'm due, which is code for "Holy crap your getting huge!" I'm done stressing about how big I am and how much weight I'm gaining because there isn't a lot I can do at this point.

baby's developement
Here is a link to a site with week by week fetal developement info. IT also has some really cool 3-d ultrasound pics. http://www.pregnancy.org/pregnancy/fetaldevelopment3.php#week35
OW!
Whoever said that Braxton Hicks contractions don't hurt was a big fat liar! I get them all the time and they hurt. I even feel them in my back, which they also say doesn't happen! With the other two kids I was induced, so I knew I was in labor. When I went in to have Nathan they hooked me up to the monitors and I was having contractions every 10 minutes or so and didn't even know it. That's my big fear now. I'm afraid I'll be in labor and not know it. I have noticed that the more I do the more "fake" contractions I have, so I have kind of put myself on limited activity, just so I'm not miserable.
Emma & Nathan
Now that my life has been completely consumed by the new baby since I'm nearing the end of the pregnancy and preparing for the arrival of a new family member, I thought I should update everyone on what's been going on with our other little beasts.
Emma has decided that she is never going to learn anything because she never wants to go to school. I'm not really sure what is behind this decision since a few months ago she couldn't wait to go to school. We are working on letter recognition, still! I know it seems like she is behind, and I feel like she is, but I am convinced that this is a matter of will power and not a developemental issue. She simply refuses to retain any new information Sean and I try to give her. I'm afraid she's going to show up at preschool next fall and they are going to think I'm a horrible mother because of all that she doesn't know. If anyone has any advice that would be great.
Nathan is picking up things we are trying to teach Emma. His newest thing is right and left. I don't think he understands the signifigance of the difference between right and left, but he sure knows which foot is which! He has also made an important decision. He has decided that he is not really interested in learning to use the potty. I had such high hopes for him when he showed early interest in the potty since Emma used it, but the novelty wore off quickly and we are still at square one. I feel accomplished if I can get him to get on the potty more than a couple times a day. We have not even reached the point of actually using it regularly yet. Cheryl's mom helped out tremendously when Emma was potty training, so maybe a trip to Grandma Kathy's is in order for Nathan. Any advice in this department would be appreciated as well.
So, that's what is going on in our house. Both kids are very excited about the new baby. Emma more so than Nathan, though. I don't think Nathan really knows what to expect, or has any idea how life will change for him. Everyone say a prayer that we all adjust easily.

just a note
I just wanted to pass along to those of you that don't already know, that Cheryl's mom doesn't want to know what we are having this time, so lets all try to keep everything neutral. I have been trying really hard not to spill the beans, so I'm hoping we can make it one more month. Thanks all!

I love target!!!!!
I love Target because they have Liz Lange Maternity clothes. I ordered a shirt online the other day and finally got it today. It is so comfy and was only $9.99. Now I am on my way to target to see if they have it in the store so I can buy another one. Knowing my luck Target won't have it, but at least I'll have one comfy shirt to get me through the next 6 weeks. I only have one pair of jeans that fit well now, so it's only appropriate that I have one shirt I really like too!

34 weeks
I had my appointment tonight and as always everything was fine. I keep gaining more weight than I should, but at this point I don't even care. My Dr. has never said anything to me about it, so I know it's not out of control. Plus it's my problem anyway since I have to lose it all later! MY measurements are right where they should be, so I'm beginning to wonder where all this extra weight is going. My guess is my butt since I can't see it and have no idea what's going on back there! Only 6 more weeks!
